Team workshop: Healthy work as a team

A workshop day on which your team learns methods for its way of working and collaboration, and makes a binding agreement on them. After six weeks we review together whether the agreement is being followed and is working.

We set the focus areas with you in advance, for example priorities and workload, communication and meetings, collaboration in a hybrid team or dealing with change.

  • 1 day
  • 6 to 12 people including their manager
  • online or on site in Germany

For whom

For teams that want to shape their collaboration deliberately, for example in development, administration, sales and IT or in projects.

Typical starting points:

  • The team is committed, but little time remains for focused work.

  • Short-notice requests interrupt planned work.

  • Meetings often end without a decision.

  • There are no rules for collaboration in the hybrid team.

How the day runs

Six hours of work on specific situations from your team, without lectures.

  • Morning: the starting point.

The team names what works well in everyday work and what makes collaboration harder, and collects the unwritten rules that everyone acts on, for example: “It is better not to raise problems here.” Each person calculates how much working time they actually have left this week and compares it with the time their tasks require.

  • Early afternoon: methods on real cases.

The team applies methods to its own situations: setting priorities, making a decision that has been open for weeks, batching short-notice requests, distributing tasks fairly.

  • Late afternoon: the team agreement.

The team sets three rules on the most important topics, for example on priorities, responsibilities or meetings. All participants sign the agreement, the manager first.

Results

  • A signed team agreement with three rules and the date of the review

  • A printed set of 30 method cards for each participant

  • The review after six weeks: 60 minutes, with metrics

  • A one-page report: what works, what does not and what was adjusted

Topic workshops

One topic, one agreement.

Shorter workshops of two or four hours for teams that want to work on one particular topic. They too end with an agreement, which we review together after six weeks.

  • Priorities and workload.

How the team decides what is done first, what can wait and what is dropped.

  • Meetings that decide.

Every recurring meeting is given a purpose and a clear rule for how decisions are made there. Some are dropped.

  • Communication and availability.

Which channel is used for what, response times per channel, one channel for urgent cases and protected time for focused work.

  • Feedback and open communication.

How the members of the team give each other regular feedback and raise problems early, without anyone having to fear negative consequences.

  • Self-organisation.

Who is responsible for what, who decides what and how the team makes decisions by consent.

  • AI and the pace of work.

How the time saved by AI is used, and which expectations apply to pace and availability.

Frequently asked questions

  • Does the manager have to take part?

Yes. Rules that a team agrees are only followed reliably if the manager supports them. If taking part is difficult, we clarify this before the workshop.

  • Can we choose the focus areas ourselves?

Yes. In the first conversation and in the preparation we clarify what your team most urgently wants to work on and plan the day accordingly.

  • What happens if the rules are not followed?

Then the team adjusts them at the review after six weeks, for example by simplifying a rule that is too extensive. We support this.

  • Do we need additional software for this?

No. The methods work with your calendar, your chat and the software you already use.
